Hello, my name is Karina Mangone. I am a current second-year education student at Mount Royal University. I am majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Mathematics. I am thrilled to be apart of the Mount Royal University community, specifically, the Education Program. I look forward to learning effective teaching methods to empower and leave a lasting impression as an educator on future students. With these key aspects in mind, I am hoping that through this enriching program at Mount Royal University, I can discover who I am as a teacher and my ultimate purpose as an educator.
For as long as I can remember, teaching has always been a passion of mine. I decided from a young age to pursue a career that would involve inspiring and shaping the future. I live by the words of Malcolm X "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for today." I wish to prepare and mold students into individuals who believe in themselves, possess a strong work ethic, and are willing to make a great future for themselves through the preparation of today. Just as my past teachers were unforgettable, I aspire to have this impact on my future students. I aim to teach a range of elementary students, thus, developing active learners from the start of a lifelong learning pursuit.
My main goal as a future educator is to provide students with knowledge, inspiration, encouragement, and passion to learn so each student feels prosperous. Therefore, these students will be framed into effective, strong, passionate, and inspiring contributors to society. I hope to grow and learn from the goals I set along my journey of becoming an educator while maintaining a positive impact on each student I encounter in the near future.
